In 1999, Nicholay was honored to play in America with the Lionel Hampton Jazz Orchestra and with the great vibraphonist - maestro Lionel Hampton.
He successfully performed at numerous festivals: "Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival" (USA), "Jazz Kaar-2000" (Estonia), "KaamosJazz-2000" (Finland), "Peter Lada" (St. Petersburg) and others. He toured in many countries where he played with such famous musicians as Lewis Nash, Grady Tate, Santi Debriano, Bill Sharlap, Joel Taylor, Mike Ellis, Slide Hampton, Kip Reed, Ed Jones, Eric Marienthal, Jay Ashby, Kim Nazaryan, Igor Butman , Evgeny Sharikov, Dmitry Ilugdin, Alexey Kuznetsov and others.
Over the past five years, he has shown himself particularly clearly as a composer. The presentation of his latest album "Vive L'amour", recorded at the Igor Butman Music Group studio, became a bright event at the international festivals "Triumph of Jazz" and "Jazz Province"-2011.
